Farm Manager

Marcus Boniface

Farm manager

Marcus has been a key part of Culworth Grounds for nearly 7 years, bringing with him a wealth of hands-on experience — from 8 years on a large arable farm to time spent in an ironworks before that.

He now oversees operations across the 2,000-acre Culworth Grounds farm, as well as managing 1,000 acres on the Exning Estate in Newmarket for Belport Estates.

When he's not managing the land, Marcus can be found helping run his 200-acre family farm alongside his wife Rosie and their two daughters, Esme and Zara — a traditional setup with arable fields and a suckler herd of cattle.

Marcus is often accompanied by his black lab, Bruno — a familiar face on the farm, even if his hearing isn’t always reliable.

Tom Brazier

Farm Worker

Tom has had an unconventional path to his role here at Culworth Grounds as Farm Worker having spent many years in the eventing world. During his varied career in agriculture Tom has worked on Cornwall’s largest daffodil farm, a potato farm and spent time working for a contractor. A career highlight for Tom was looking after Chilli Morning whilst working for Nick Gauntlett and though his role here on the farm means he is most often in a tractor he can occasionally be found on the back of a horse!

Ed Ellis

Farm Worker

Ed has been a part of the Culworth Grounds team for around 5 years, joining full time in 2023. Before joining Culworth Grounds Ed gained experience working on a number of local farms and at Honesberie shooting school.

Ed particularly enjoys baling and mowing and away from work he loves to spend time skiing and shooting.

Accounts Manager

Lauren Skewes

account manager

Whilst gaining her BSc in Agriculture at RAU Cirencester, Lauren did a GAP year at Little Avondale Stud (NZ). She then joined our office team in October 2021.

She was born in Cornwall, used to play netball and practiced gig rowing. Lauren owns two horses herself and her spaniel Flo who is a regular in the office!

James Moss

Farm Worker

James joined the team at Culworth Grounds in September 2024 and operates all farm machinery as well as overseeing the running of our Natural Produce processor.
Before joining Culworth Grounds James spent over 8 years working with Livestock and on Groundwork projects.
James has enjoyed his first season driving the Combine Harvester for Culworth Grounds.

Tom Ratcliffe

fARM wORKER

Tom joined Culworth Grounds in August 2023, starting his first full-time role with us straight after school at the age of 16.

Tom enjoys the busy haylage season and being involved in different cultivation tasks. He thrives on the variety of jobs and the chance to get stuck in with hands-on work.

Tom is keen on the idea of working abroad in the future, but for now he is focused on building his skills and experience here at Culworth Grounds.

Outside of work, Tom enjoys being sociable and going to watch the rugby.
